Exploring Future Partnership Opportunities in Renewable Energy

60Hertz Inc., a social venture specializing in energy IT (CEO: Jonggyu Kim), announced today that it has signed a MOU with Yolk (CEO: Sungeun Jang).

Under the agreement, 60Hertz will support Yolk in achieving its RE100 (Renewable Electricity 100%) goals through its renewable energy subscription service, 'Monthly Sun & Wind', and the two companies will explore further opportunities for collaboration to expand the use of renewable energy.

60Hertz is a social venture that contributes to carbon reduction by providing renewable energy forecasting solutions for solar, wind, and other distributed resources. One of its core services, 'Monthly Sun & Wind', enables companies to participate in climate action by subscribing to purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) on a monthly basis, thereby allowing them to use certified renewable electricity.

Yolk is a startup developing sustainable solutions for global energy challenges. Through its Solar Cow system, Yolk leads projects aimed at solving energy and social issues in developing countries. Its innovations, including Solar Paper and Solar Cow, have received international attention and won CES Innovation Awards. Most recently, Yolk launched the coffee brand AYANTU, with a portion of the proceeds used to fund the installation and operation of Solar Cows, expanding the scope of its impact projects.

Jonggyu Kim, CEO of 60Hertz, stated,
"We’re delighted to support Yolk, a company at the forefront of solving social challenges through innovation. We hope to help more companies achieve RE100 through 'Monthly Sun & Wind'."

Both companies plan to continue working together to expand the adoption of renewable energy and contribute to global carbon reduction efforts.
