August 28, 2025

Recognized for AI-Powered Renewable Energy Integrated Control Technology

Seoul, August 28, 2025 – 60Hertz (CEO Jongkyu Kim, https://60hz.io), an energy IT social venture, announced today that it has received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at the 2025 Climate & Energy Innovation Awards, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Energy Agency.

The Climate & Energy Innovation Awards were established to identify and support Korean SMEs, mid-sized companies, and startups that possess innovative technologies and products in the fields of climate, environment, and energy. The awards aim to foster the growth of the climate-tech industry and build a sustainable energy ecosystem. This year, a total of eight companies were selected across three categories—Clean Power, Future Energy, and Climate & Environment—with 60Hertz receiving high recognition in the Climate & Environment category.

The award recognizes 60Hertz’s advanced AI-based integrated control technology, which analyzes data collected from solar power facilities to perform optimized operations and control. The company’s power generation monitoring system integrates satellite, weather, and operational data into an AI-driven diagnostic framework. Using three independent quantitative criteria, it can detect equipment failures, output reductions, and operational anomalies at an early stage.

As part of the award recognition, 60Hertz will showcase its core solutions and technologies at the Climate & Energy Innovation Pavilion during the World Climate Industry Expo (WCE) 2025, to be held from August 27 to 29 at BEXCO in Busan.

Jongkyu Kim, CEO of SixtyHertz, stated:

“It is truly meaningful to be formally recognized for our technological achievements and contributions to the renewable energy sector. Moving forward, we will continue to lead climate action and energy transition through innovative, IT-driven energy solutions.”
