R&D Government-Funded Project Planning & Management

Key Responsibilities

Analyze national government-funded R&D program announcements and plan project topics based on a strong understanding of energy, power systems, and IT technologies
Prepare and submit government R&D proposals and deliver proposal presentations
Build industry–academia–research institute consortia and design budget structures and role allocations
Manage and operate government-funded R&D projects throughout the entire project lifecycle
Identify R&D opportunities that connect technology development with business applications and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
Proven experience in writing and winning national government-funded R&D proposals
Ability to plan R&D projects based on a solid understanding of technical architectures in energy, power systems, and IT platforms

Experience serving as a Principal Investigator (PI/PL) or leading the overall planning and execution of government-funded R&D projects
Hands-on experience with projects related to Energy IT, VPP, V2G, renewable energy, or electricity markets
Master’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline
Work experience at public institutions, government-funded research institutes, or research organizations
